Vintage 30 drawer card catalog, in a lovely chocolate finish. A fabulous addition to any home library!
This cabinet is a modular stacking system consisting of two 15 drawer components. In good vintage condition. All drawers slide out smoothly. The metal dividers inside the drawers are all functioning and slide easily when lifting the release lever. One rod is missing (bottom cabinet, middle row, 2nd from the left). The dividers and rods are also completely removable to accommodate larger items.
There is corrosion to all of the back metal plates (see photo #4 bottom right) and some of the metal glides. The brass hardware is original and has developed a beautiful rich patina over the years. There is a repair to the wood on the bottom cabinet along the edge (see photo #4 top right). There are some marks and mars to the wood consistent with the age and use of the piece, with some chips to the exterior veneer (primarily at the back where the two sections meet). There is no base or cap piece for the top. The interlocking notches have been sanded down on the top cabinet, creating a smooth surface.
The bottom cabinet rests on the wood slats of the interlocking system. The entire unit is very sturdy. No wobbles!
Measures: 26 3/8" tall. 33 7/8" wide. 17" deep.
This cabinet does not have a manufacturer's mark. It most likely dates to the 1970s or 1980s, based on the construction and brass hardware (before they were made with a molded plastic).
This item ships in two packages via UPS Ground with insurance. Signature required.
